Kampala Youth discusses youth with substance use problems on TV

2 recovering ghetto youth were hosted on Star TV talking about their recovery journey and how they started using substances that changed the whole of their lives

“i started using drugs in s2, i did my primary and passed well. I interacted with some students who taught me how to use drugs. My family was well off. I had a supportive father who was working abroad. I grew up with my cousins mostly because i was born alone. I mostly attended boarding schools where i learnt substances after copying from my friend who was using substance in school

I dropped out after being chased from school and this forced me to go to ghetto were i found many youth using substance and they became family.

This dark period of my life where life was hard. i have lived in the ghetto for 15 years. but now i found Kampala Youth where am on treatment and am on my journey to recovery
